Grupo Industrial Saltillo is a Mexican company founded in 1928. With six business units and manufacturing plants operating in five cities, designs, manufactures and markets products for various industrial and consumer sectors. GIS (BMV: GISSAA), has a strong portfolio of brands and products that meet the needs of industrial customers and consumers of Mexico and the world.

Solution

Although GIS has HR systems (Meta4, Peoplesoft) the custom development on these platforms is costly and complicated. GIS required several custom developments to model their own HR processes and its integration to their already existing HR platforms. Some of the modules created were job opportunities with automatic evaluation, requests for salary increase, 360 degree evaluations, new employees approval process and procurement, as well as surveys, reports and collaboration portals were developed for workers to send their ideas for improvement and provide follow up its implementation.
